The Tanzania Medical Journal (TMJ) TMJ is the official journal of the Medical Association of Tanzania (MAT). The journal is an East-African Centric, peer-reviewed journal with significant emphasis in supporting the dissemination of medical knowledge in Tanzania and across Tanzania at large. TMJ Publishers original scientific research, short communications, reviews, case reports and letters to the editor, in any branch of medical science across Tanzania. The articles will be having a direct importance in Tanzania (or East Africa), but may have been developed from outside Tanzania. TMJ strives to ensure that the manuscripts lives up to international standards, by scrutinizing all the articles through a peer-review process which ensure that articles carries the right massage, they are original ideas, ethically conducted and will add value to the medical community in reading the journal. In recognition of the fact that there is inadequate research and also lack of expertise in the field affecting the quality of research, TMJ is dedicate to supporting all authors who plans to publish on any interesting medical topic in Tanzania. This support comes in range of options, from reviewing the entire manuscript, to advice on statistics and formatting. TMJ has a dedicated section that offers authors assistance by senior authors from within Tanzania and abroad.
